Convicted of killing her husband in January, Karen Bodden faces sentencing this morning in District Judge Dave Gamble's courtroom. A Douglas County jury convicted Bodden of shooting aircraft mechanic Robin Bodden in August 2006 and dumping his body in the desert above Johnson Lane. She faces up to two life terms without possibility of parole.

Meeting week kicks off 4:30 p.m. today with the Gardnerville Town Board in their offices in downtown Gardnerville. A major modification to a proposed meeting hall for the Knights of Columbus that adds another building and discussion of the Main Street program are among the issues before town board members today. Genoans meet at 7 p.m. and will be talking about Candy Dance and the town's policy manual.

It will be sunny and nice again today with a high reaching for 60 degrees, according to the National Weather Service and a light breeze. The next precipitation has appeared on the horizon with a chance of snow or rain Sunday night and Monday morning. We'll see if that pans out.
