A 21-year-old California man faces sentencing in Douglas County District Court this morning for felony insurance fraud. Braudilio Alexander Feliz faces up to four years in prison in connection to an incident where he abandoned his parents' 2008 Nissan July 9 in Zephyr Cove and then reported it stolen.
The debt management commission meets 3 p.m. today at the Douglas County Administration Building in Minden. Included on the agenda is a request by the county to issue $3.35 million in general obligation water bonds and a request by Indian Hills to issue $4.2 million in securities to cover the cost of the pipeline.
Today should be another nice day with partly sunny skies and a high temperature near 47 degrees. There's a chance we'll get wet weather starting Tuesday, but not a big one. It looks like we'll have clouds for most of the week, so enjoy the nice weather while it lasts.
