Man hurt in collision with garage

One man was injured when his vehicle ran into a garage on Petar Drive in Chichester Estates this morning.

The man was visibly shaken as medics worked with him after the accident at 10:58 a.m.

He was transported by East Fork Ambulance to Sunridge, where Care Flight helicopter picked him up and took him to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno for treatment.

Firefighters secured the home after a Douglas County building inspector said the vehicle couldn't be removed until the garage was shored up.

No one else was injured in the accident.
