Business courses offered at Minden college campus

The Minden campus of Western Nevada College is offering several business related courses in the upcoming spring term. Registration is open now.

Introduction to Business, (BUS 101, No. 13949, 3 units) meets Mondays, 7-9:45 p.m. Students will learn the fundamentals of the modern business world. The class is ideal for anyone considering business as a major. Cost is $224.25.

Business Law 1, (BUS 273, No. 14102, 3 units) meets Mondays and Wednesdays, 5:30-6:45 p.m. The class covers the nature and sources of law, including the study of court systems, contracts, negotiable instruments, sales, insurance and agencies. Cost is $224.25.

Introduction to Small Business Management (MGT 103, No. 13498, 3 units) meets Thursdays, 7-9:45 p.m. The class helps students develop an understanding of the small business enterprise. Business planning, finance, marketing, and administrative control will be covered. Cost is $224.25.

Business Letters and Reports (BUS 108, No. 12191, 3 units), and Human Relations for Employment (BUS 110B, No. 14100 3 units), as well as additional management classes are available as web classes.

Furthermore, students can enroll in accounting, economics and information systems classes through WNC Douglas. Classes meet requirements for an Associate of Applied Science degree in Business or a Certificate of Achievement in Business or Bookkeeping.
