County seeks applicants for boards

Douglas County residents interested in serving on one of several volunteer boards have until Dec. 15 to file an application.

The Douglas County Board of Commissioners is currently accepting applications for appointment to the following volunteer advisory committees:

911 Surcharge Advisory Committee

Airport Advisory Committee

Board of Equalization

Carson Water Subconservancy District

Genoa Historic District Commission

Law Library Board

Library Board of Trustees

Parks and Recreation Commission

Planning Commission

Regional Transportation Commission

Senior Services Advisory Council

Water Conveyance Advisory Committee

Board eligibility requirements vary. All applicants must be Douglas County residents.

Appointments will be made at commissioners meeting in January 2011.
