To continue its community outreach effort, Carson Valley Medical Center has renewed its annual sponsorship to the Douglas Area Rural Transit program, which offers dial-a-ride transportation for seniors, special needs persons and the general public.
The CVMC leadership team identified county senior services, and specifically the DART program, as an area of importance in the community.
In tough economic times, businesses are making conservative choices in their expenditures, and Carson Valley Medical Center is no exception. However, the hospital recognized the benefit of the public transportation system for its patients and the community, said hospital spokeswoman Shannon Albert.
In recognition of the sponsorship, the CVMC logo will appear on the back of each DART bus in the area.
