NCET to host fifth annual Entrepreneur Expo in Reno

Nevada's Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology will host the fifth annual NCET Entrepreneur Expo at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept. 17.

The Expo is free to attend and is designed exclusively for people planning to start a small business. The event will feature exhibitors, speakers and panels that provide the resources and expert advice needed to successfully start or grow a business.

With more than 1,200 small business owners expected to attend this year's event, NCET has opened up additional space to welcome additional exhibitors.

"They have all the connections; financial, legal, patent and trademark information," said Robert Tranum, an NCET Expo attendee. "This expo is a must-attend if you are a true entrepreneur."

Companies and organizations whose clients and customers include small businesses, start-ups or early stage businesses should plan to exhibit. Cost for an 8-by-8 booth is $350, or $150 for nonprofits, educational and governmental agencies.

"Nevada was built by small businesses, and these small businesses are critical to our future economic growth, vitality and diversity," said Dave Archer, CEO of NCET. "These expos are unique and different from other expos because they are designed to provide Nevada's small business owners access to the resources and expertise they need to grow and to succeed."

Speakers and panelists will address topics critical to small businesses, including funding/financing, business plans, marketing, branding, networking and management.

Exhibitors will include professional services, federal, state and local agencies that assist small businesses, funding sources, and educational institutions with programs designed for entrepreneurs.
