Woman injured in Pine Nut head-on collision

A Topaz Ranch Estates woman was seriously injured in a head-on collision on Highway 395 near Leviathan Mine Road in the Pine Nut Mountains.

East Fork firefighters and medics responded to the collision at around 10 p.m. Friday night.

The Record-Courier has reached out to the Nevada State Police for more information.

The woman posted to social media to say she received bruises and a shattered kneecap in the collision but that she would recover.

She indicated the other driver was impaired and that she didn’t see the other vehicle until it was too late to avoid it.

Friday was busy for emergency services personnel who responded to a half-acre fire off Eldon Way at 1:20 p.m.

East Fork and Bureau of Land Management firefighters responded to the blaze.
