Two men accused of kidnapping someone and leaving him in the Pine Nuts in his socks and underwear are scheduled to be arraigned this morning in Douglas County District Court. Timothy Young, 27, and Robert Pierce, 32, are both serving sentences in a similar incident.

Rain missed the Wolf Creek fire on Saturday, but hit on Sunday leaving it smoldering, and stopping its spread at 752 acres. Four hand crews, an engine and two helicopters are on the fire this morning. Total cost of fighting the lightning caused fire is $1.1 million.

State Route 342 between Silver City and Virginia City is closed this morning after the V&T derailed on Sunday. The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating what happened. The engine left the track. No one was hurt in the incident.

Western Carson Valley got some rain in the thunderstorms on Sunday. The last of the storms should be moving on today with sunny skies and a high temperature of 85 degrees.
