Douglas County School District officials are seeking a new principal for Meneley Elementary School and will be interviewing candidates later this month.
Former principal Paula Zona has accepted a job at Seeliger Elementary School in Carson City, according to the district's human resources department.
Before filling the position, Superintendent Lisa Noonan is hosting two public forums today to gather input from staff and parents on ideal leadership traits and skills.
Noonan will meet with staff in the school's library from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and with parents in the same location from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
