A celebration of the life of long time south county resident John David Nigra is 3-6 p.m. Saturday at Topaz Joe's Grill & Bar in Topaz Ranch Estates.
Nigra, 65, died May 14, 2010, in Carson City after a brief battle with cancer.
Born Jan. 17, 1945, in San Francisco to Lucio and Eda Nigra, he was raised in Amador County, where his family owned Buscaglias Restaurant in Jackson, Calif.
Mr. Nigra was a 30-year resident of the county, who owned J&J Cabinets and J.N. Construction.
