Damonte Ranch lived up to its No. 1 billing Tuesday afternoon, sweeping the No. 5 Douglas Tigers 25-15, 26-24, 25-19 in Minden.
Senior Jourdan Burke had a big match, recording 16 kills, three aces and six service points.
Shannon Dugan had five kills, Brenna White had four and Erin Allison had two. Dugan also had three aces and five digs, while Mia Townsell led the defense with 10 digs.
Hailey Sclafani had 18 assists and Jackie Harper finished with 10. White led the Tigers with five blocks and Christine DuPuis had four.
For Douglas, it was the team's third loss of the year and first in Sierra League play.
