David Aaron 'Pauncho' Rose

A celebration of life will be at a later date for Gardnerville chef David Aaron 'Pauncho' Rose, 61, who died Oct. 17, 2009, after a short illness.

Born July 29, 1948, in Los Angeles to Perry and Francis Kathleen Rose, he was the chef who ran the Bistro@The Bryan in the Richard Bryan Building in Carson City for the past three years, working for the Business Enterprises of Nevada.

Mr. Rose loved to cook and worked in restaurants in many places during the last 25 years, including Mammoth, Lake Tahoe and in Gardnerville.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Francis Kathleen Owen.

He is survived by his wife of nine years Connie Estabrook of Gardnerville; brother John (Bobbie) Esponda of Bakersfield; Carol Fuamatu of Fallbrook, Calif., nephews Jonathan David and Jonas Perry Fia, and many nieces and cousins.
