'It's the Great Pumpkin, officer'

A Douglas County Sheriff's deputy cited a man on a bicycle early Saturday morning who admitted stealing a pumpkin from a grocery store display.

The deputy said he observed the man on a bicycle with the pumpkin under his arm at 2:47 a.m. He said the suspect had been drinking and admitted taking the pumpkin from a display.

The pumpkin was valued at $3 and the deputy returned it to the store.
