A celebration of life is 1 p.m. Saturday at the Full Belly Deli for Gardnerville resident Linda S. Benson, 65, who died Oct. 10, 2009.
Born Jan. 28, 1944, to William C. "Buster" and Ruby Manning, she was raised in Loyalton, Calif., about 40 miles from Reno.
She married Doug Benson in May 1991 and moved to Gardnerville, where she worked at several places, but mostly the Valley Bar and the Full Belly Deli.
She enjoyed her home, flowers and working in her yard.
She is survived by sons Danny and Rickey Hageman of Grants Pass, Ore., and Kenny Hageman of Gardnerville; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sisters Helen (Chuck) Hansen of Redding; Cathy Adams of Reno; and Carol (Les) West of Portola; brother Jerry (Vicky) Manning of Loyalton; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
A pot luck dinner is being held at the deli with a no-host celebration.
