A memorial service is 2 p.m. Saturday at Carson Valley United Methodist Church for longtime Carson Valley electrical contractor Gary Lee Lanfair, 55, who died Feb. 12, 2009.
Born May 26, 1953, in California, to Aaron Jay and Barbara Lanfair, he moved to Gardnerville 41 years ago.
He married Carol Lanfair Sept. 22, 1979, in Virginia City.
Mr. Lanfair was a member of the American Hunting Club, Carson Valley Chukar Club, the American Bowling Association and the Builder's Association of Northern Nevada. He was a supporter of Douglas High School sports.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, traveling, playing horseshoes and working in the garden.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; sons Jassen and Craig (Nicole); mother-in-law Carol Porter; brother Allen; sisters Charlotte (Frank) Maynard and Jeannie (Kyle) Caluya; brother-in-law Fred (Tina) Krull; three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
After the memorial service, friends and family are invited to meet at Full Belly Deli.
