The R-C Morning Report

Douglas County's first H1N1 swine flu vaccine clinic is this morning at the county health offices on Spruce Street. Titanic rules apply, pregnant women and children first. There's only a few doses available today. If you're in the priority groups, you can also get a dose at the Carson City Health clinic on Mondays. Check flu.nv.gov for other locations.

The water rate hike for East Valley Water System was approved on Thursday without too much struggle, and the water rate increase proposal for the West Valley Water System was accepted by commissioners. Not quite sure how the airport report went. We'll find out later today.

It didn't seem as windy as predicted on Thursday and today won't be much different. Expect mostly sunny skies with a high temperature of 63. Temperatures will stay in the upper 50s through the weekend. At 6:45 a.m. it's 38 degrees in Minden, 37 in Genoa and 41 degrees in Fish Springs.
