A memorial service will be held at St. Gall Catholic Church 11 a.m. Thursday for Minden resident Elsie B. 'Bea' Aldridge, 84, who died May 14, 2009.
Born Sept 8, 1924, in Stroud, Okla., she married Robert F. Aldridge in October 1943.
The couple lived in California's San Fernando Valley, where they raised eight children. Mrs. Aldridge was a homemaker who loved to bowl. She travelled to several states for tournaments.The couple retired to Minden in 1986.
Mrs. Aldridge is preceded in death by her husband, Robert, who died a year ago.
She is survived by her eight children, Gloria (Lee) Lash, Karen (Babe) Kick , Bill (Debi) Aldridge, Steve Aldridge, Tim Aldridge, Jim Aldridge, Misty (Mike) Mueller, Sandy (Dave) Chermak, 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
