Felix Pottery first anniversary reception

Staff Reports

Meet artisans of pottery, jewelry, glass and wearable art and celebrate the first anniversary of Felix Pottery & Artisans Shoppe, 4-7 p.m. March 27.

Owner and artist Lorraine Felix has added Artisans International to the gallery and will offer more classes to the community.

"We felt with a year under our belt at this location, it was time to make sure the community was getting what they needed from us," said Felix. "With the addition of Artisans International, we are converting the gallery name to Three Rooms Gallery.

"We will still have over 40 local artists in the space, as well as 10 national artists, and artists from over 10 countries. We specialize in art, jewelry, and unique gifts including pottery, glass, sculptures, whimsical pieces, wall art, and wearable art including knitted handbags, scarves, hats, and a great line of beaded and sterling silver jewelry.

"The philosophy of Three Rooms Gallery is to provide affordable art and with this in mind, the artists establish their own prices. We are excited to share our new look with the community and hope the community comes to check us out."

Many of the artists will be at the anniversary reception to discuss their work. Light refreshments will be served. Parking is available behind the gallery and across the street in the dirt lot next to Battle Born Wine.

Felix Pottery & Artisans Shoppe is at 1459 Highway 395 in Gardnerville.
