The R-C Morning Report

The Pony Express Re-ride is running late, as it is likely to do when the riders are crossing from Missouri to California. There are some reports from the trail of stormy weather along the ride. A squall just outside of Fallon may have contributed to the delay. I looked up the 2007 re-ride and the riders were more than three hours behind when they rode into Genoa then.

My Country AM 1300 will soon be simulcasting at 93.5 FM, according to radio personality Bob V, who was at the Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce luncheon at David Walley's Hot Springs on Wednesday. The radio station was named business of the month by the chamber.

There's a slight chance we'll see showers this afternoon after 3 p.m. The high's expected to hit 82 degrees and the breeze light. It looks like more the same on Friday and then clearing over the weekend, maybe. Sunday's high is supposed to drop down to 71 degrees. Nowhere but Nevada will the first day of summer also be the coolest for a while.
