If you're reading this instead of on your way to the Carson Valley Days Parade you may find yourself on the wrong end of the barricade. Highway 395 between Buckeye and Waterloo closes at 8 a.m. The parade starts at 9 a.m. There are some tricks to get into the parade after 8 a.m., though. Traveling through Chichester could get you to Heritage Park, if you don't get lost in the maze. The other approach would be along Gilman Avenue. No guarantee you'd find a place to park along there if you did make it.
It's 54 degrees and overcast in Minden this morning, which means pretty nice parade weather.
P.S. Alta Alpina is hosting The Riding the Wild Sierra Event this morning which means a lot of bicycles along Foothill Road and Kingsbury Grade.
