A horsewoman was successfully transported for treatment after she fell off her horse in the backcountry of Alpine County.
Medical personnel responded to the incident along the Barney Riley trail near Dry Lake at about 9:20 p.m.
Search and Rescue personnel and Woodfords personnel are responding to the trail head with quadrunners, the only means to reach the woman.
An ambulance helicopter has been called in and units are gathering to travel up the trail.
