Two men arrested in Carson City for charges of trafficking in narcotics are facing similar charges in Douglas County.

Eloise 'Eloy" Santiago Ramos-Montesdeoca, 25, and Fernando Salcedo-Navarro, 41, both from Carson City, were arrested by Carson City Sheriff's deputies on May 26 on suspicion of trafficking and sales of methamphetamine in Carson City.

At the time of their arrest, Ramos-Montesdeoca and Salcedo-Navarro were already being investigated by members of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office Street Enforcement Team on suspicion of trafficking and sales of methamphetamine in Douglas County, according to Sheriff's Sgt. Jim Halsey

From April 23 to May 6 street enforcement officers purchased a total of 20.1 grams of methamphetamine in three separate illicit drug transactions conducted by or brokered by Ramos-Montesdeoca and Salcedo-Navarro. The three transactions occurred at undisclosed locations within Douglas County.

Upon learning of the arrests of Ramos-Montesdeoca and Salcedo-Navarro in Carson City, investigators applied for and received warrants of arrest for both of them, charging them with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance for the events that occurred in here in Douglas County.

After answering for their charges in Carson City, Ramos-Montesdeoca and Salcedo-Navarro were transported to the Minden Jail, where they are currently being held on $100,000 bail each.

Additionally, Ramos-Montesdeoca has a "no-bail" hold placed on him by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement due to his illegal alien status.
