CV Medical Center forms foundation

Carson Valley Medical Center has formed a foundation to support healthcare through fund development.

The foundation recently received its nonprofit status, which enables the foundation to begin developing plans for fundraising events and other philanthropic projects for the hospital.

"The creation of the foundation is an important step in the future of the hospital and provides another level of support during these challenging economic times," said Bill Hale, Carson Valley Medical Center CEO.

Marilyn Presti, the foundation's executive director, has held numerous leadership roles in the community. Her plans include building a foundation that will be recognized for supporting the services of the hospital and creating partnerships with the community.

"I am thrilled to be working with a group of enthusiastic community leaders who are dedicated to supporting quality healthcare services in the Carson Valley," Presti said.
