Helen and Ron Lee recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a gathering of 50 family and friends, then with a cruise to the Mexican Riviera.
The Lees met at Crestline, Calif., in July 1958, got engaged in August and were married Dec. 5, 1958, in Culver City, Calif. They moved to Carson Valley in 1977 and have lived in Holbrook Highlands for five years.
Ron Lee worked at Bently Nevada for 21 years and Helen Lee worked at local community banks for a total of 31 years. They are retired and enjoy cruises, RV travel and puttering around their 21⁄2 acre yard. Their daughter Laura Lee lives in Sacramento.
"We've had stick-to-it-ive-ness " that and we're both too stubborn to give up," said Helen Lee about the key of being married 50 years. "We've had lots of trials and tribulations but many good times."
