A graveside service is 1 p.m. Friday at Eastside Memorial Park in Minden for Korean War veteran Lauren Boyd Wendt, 74, who died Feb. 19, 2009, in Gardnerville.
Born May 4, 1934, in Stayton, Ore., he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.
A former resident of Canyon Country, Calif., he lived in Minden for six years.
Mr. Wendt is survived by sisters Ardath Huntsinger of Cameron Park, Calif., and Diana Hanneman of Yuba City, Calif.; nephews David Huntsinger, Steve Huntsinger, Jeff Huntsinger, Greg Huntsinger, and Kurt Hanneman and niece Laura Rogers.
