A funeral Mass is 10 a.m. today at St. Gall Catholic Church for Gardnerville resident Richard Alexander Miller, 16, who died Feb. 2, 2009, at his home.
Born April 10, 1992 in Jacksonville, N.C., he lived there before moving to Gardnerville.
A junior at Douglas High School, he was a member of the Douglas Dolfins swim team. He enjoyed playing video games and working with wood. He also was active in football and baseball.
He is survived by his parents, Connie and William Mordelle of Gardnerville; brother Christopher Dinkins of Gardnerville; grandparents Richard and Mary Miller of Knoxville, Tenn.; grandmother Frances Mordelle of New York; great-grandmother Joanne Miller of Palm Desert, Calif.; aunt and uncle Mary and Frank Cincotta of Charlotte, N.C. and cousins Daniel, Frankie, and Anthony Cincotta.
Interment will be in Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery in Carson City. Arrangements entrusted to Walton's Douglas County Mortuary in Minden.
