Stateline gaming win continues plunge

Stateline casinos continued a nose dive in their gaming win, according to figures released this morning by the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

The chief source of Douglas County's gaming tax revenue posted a 24.13 percent decrease, recording a win of $15.85 million for the month of October. That's less than the $20.89 million the Stateline casinos raked in during October 2008, and also down $6 million from September's take.

Carson Valley, which includes Douglas casinos outside of Lake Tahoe and Carson City's casinos showed a 7.3 percent decrease over last year. The two jurisdictions' casinos took in $9.26 million, slightly less than the $9.99 million from last year. Carson Valley and Carson City casinos did show a $1.14 million increase over September.

Statewide, the gaming win was down 10.58 percent.
