Gingerbread houses on display Dec. 5

The Carson Valley Arts Council's fifth annual Gingerbread House Decorating Contest is free to enter and is open to Carson Valley residents and community groups.

Application forms available at the arts council office in the Copeland Cultural Arts Center in Minden, Douglas County Parks & Recreation office, Douglas County Public Library and the Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center in Gardnerville. The exhibit opens during the museum's Gallery of Trees and Cookie Walk on Dec. 5. Dennis Little, the contest coordinator says,
