Bundle up for the concert in the park tonight in Minden, because while it's still summer, you'd never know it by going outside. The National Weather Service graph says expect temperatures to be around 64 degrees at 6 p.m.

Backcountry hikers and campers in the high Sierra should be ready for a chilly evening tonight. The National Weather Service is predicting that as skies clear tonight, temperatures will fall into the mid 30s in the upper valleys, including Truckee. Those who are growing tomatoes or other frost-sensitive plants should cover them up tonight.

It's relatively chilly out this morning with 41 degrees in Minden and 42 degrees in Fish Springs. The forecast for today is for mostly sunny skies and a high of 70 degrees. It will warm up fast over the weekend with temperatures back into the 90s by Monday.
