The R-C Morning Report

Three Indian Hills men are up for sentencing this morning in District Judge Michael Gibbons courtroom. Diedier Moguel and Ricky Barios pleaded guilty to burglary in November. The charge carries up to 10 years in prison, but both men are eligible for probation. Zeth Moguel, 18 faces sentencing for conspiracy to possess stolen property, which carries a year jail sentence. The three were arrested when investigators found 22 items worth $6,000 in an Oct. 28 search of the home on Sunburst in Sunridge. The burglaries are believed to have occurred between Sept. 22 and Oct. 16.

Douglas County commissioners meet 1 p.m. today in their chambers in Minden. Top of their agenda is appointments for planning commission and a ton of other boards and panels. They'll also divvy up their own jobs on the commission, including the Carson Subconservancy board.

There's a slight chance of snow or rain today. The snow levels is at 3,900 feet this morning and then will rise to 5,100 feet. The National Weather Service is predicting mostly cloudy skies with a high of 43 degrees. The weekend's chilly temperatures are out of the forecast for a bit, with highs staying firmly in the upper 40s through Friday.
