Trick-or-Treat Street tonight

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office and The Record-Courier are sponsoring Trick-or-Treat Safety Street 3-8 p.m. today at the CVIC Hall in Minden. Cost is $2 a child to help cover the cost of the street. Parents get in free.

Patchy fog is predicted for the commute this morning, according to the National Weather Service, but it will burn off by 9 a.m. There's no sign of the big fog bank that followed the Carson River on Monday.

The weather for Halloween tonight will be clear and a little bit chilly. The high temperature today will hit 61 degrees with the low tonight getting down to 27. The temperature is expected to be about 42 degrees at 8 p.m.
