A celebration of life is 3:30 p.m. April 26 at FitzHenry's Funeral Home, 3945 Fairview Drive, Carson City for Minden resident Ann Marie Parks, 81, who died March 28, 2009 at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center with her son at her side.
Born Jan. 2, 1928, in Johnstown, Pa., to Fred and Marie Mohle, she was the oldest of 10 children.
Mrs. Parks came to Reno in 1956, married and later moved to Lake Tahoe, living there for over 30 years. She worked in the grocery business for 40 years before retiring in 1988. She lived in the Carson City and Minden area for the past 18 years.
She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.
Among her survivors are son Nile Parks Jr.; daughters Cynthia Gilley and Debra Starnes; grandchildren Joshua Gilley and Shelby Parks; numerous brothers, sisters, nephews and nieces.
