Topaz Ranch Estate mobile home fire "knocked down"

Within 20 minutes of receiving a 3:15 p.m. call, firefighters reportedly knocked down a blaze that consumed a mobile home in Topaz Ranch Estates.

Unfortunately, about half of the 3939 Granite Way home was destroyed in the fire. Fortunately, the home was unoccupied at the time.

Rescuers had to battle moderate southwest winds that spread flames to the front yard, posing a wildland risk. Getting water to the site was also a challenge.
