EDITOR:
Obama's March 24 "press conference" was nothing more than a manipulated, orchestrated, censored, scripted and disgusting use of the media who bought into it because they love him and in their eyes he can do no wrong.
By calling on specific reporters who asked scripted questions the U.S. citizens were duped into listening to a speech, not a press conference. By their silence the press corps became a partner in Obama's charade.
I watched this disaster expecting the press to ask hard questions such as regarding the bloated budget, anticipated deficit tripling, broken promises of no earmarks, reduction of the deficit, failed government transparency and lack of "change" by recycling Clinton appointees who created the current problems. Instead, the reporters sat silently on their hands and went along with Obama's script.
Obama cannot go through the budget line by line as he claims for he does not have a line item veto. His only choice is to sign or veto the budget passed by Congress.
The whole affair was absolutely obscene and in my view a display of Obama's contempt for the U.S. citizens while the press corps committed suicide on camera.
