The Douglas County Historical Society's Taste of the Towns fundraiser is 5-9 p.m. Saturday. Sample food from Gardnerville restaurants and booths set up in the parking lot of the Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center, 1477 Highway 395, Gardnerville.
Shops and boutiques are included on the walking tour and will be open for browsing and tasting. Music will be provided by All Hat No Cattle, the Hot 2 and Georgette Twain.
Tickets are $20 and are available at the Main Street Bookstore inside the Gardnerville museum. Information, 782-2555.
