The National Weather Service has issued an advisory to expect temperatures between 100 and 105 degrees through Saturday with highs in the Sierra climbing into the lower 90s. If you're outside working or playing, remember to drink lots of water.

Douglas elementary schools start next week. Look for the bus schedule in Friday's edition of The Record-Courier.
