New salon opens in Gardnerville

The owner of new hair studio, Tangles, has been planning her own salon since she started as a stylist nine years ago.

"I wanted to go back to my roots - modern, laid back, trendy," said Jennifer Wing who specializes in hair color, cutting, ear piercing and waxing. "I wanted to inject my own personality and style."

Wing completely remodeled the new shop with a classic and comfortable Paris theme.

The staff at Tangles includes Debbie Dannehl, recently from Beachcomber, who has 20-years' experience with cuts and color and Bri Giroud, previously from Legends. Giroud does cuts, colors, hair extensions and up-dos, manicures and pedicures.

Tangles' stylists are keen on furthering their education and go to at least two shows a year to keep up with current styles. Wing said people are always looking for something different.

"Sometimes people want someone new and fresh," Wing said. "They want to find a comfortable fit."

Men, women, children and walk-ins are welcome. Tangles is next to Central Systems Electric at 1255 Highway 395, Suite A, Gardnerville. Information, 782-2742.
