Gigs 4 Wigs Cut-a-thon Saturday

The second annual Gig 4 Wigs Cut-a-thon is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Tangles Hair Studio & Day Spa, 1255 Highway 395, Gardnerville. Event features food, live music, raffles, chair massages, and haircuts offered at a suggested donation of $10. The fundraiser is to provide wigs and head coverings at no cost to those who may have lost their hair during cancer treatments. Information, 782-2742.


Rummage sale donations accepted

The Topaz Sagehens host their 34th annual rummage sale, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 8 and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 9, at the Topaz Ranch Estates Community Center, 4001 Carter Way, Wellington. Donations accepted 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, and April 24 and May 1, at Blue Sage Storage on Highway 208, or 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 5 and May 6 at the TRE Community Center. Bingo Sunday

Young at Heart community bingo is Sunday at the Douglas County Senior Center, 2300 Meadow Lane, Gardnerville. Cars wanted for Cruisers Rockathon

Cars are wanted and swap spaces are available for the Valley Cruisers Rockathon car show and swap meet, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 15, in Heritage Park in Gardnerville. Enter cars from any year for $10. Awards presented. Car-related swap booth spaces available for $10. Event includes music by Time Warp and hot dog sales by Valley Cruisers Car Club.
