A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Monday at FitzHenry's Funeral Home in Gardnerville for Margret Elaine Casebier, 82, who died April 18, 2007, in Gardnerville.


Mrs. Casebier was born Sept. 20, 1924, in Studley, Kan., to George and Margret Scott. She was a high school graduate and she married Harlan Casebier 1946 in Topeka, Kan. She was a resident of Covina, Calif., before moving to Gardnerville 20 years ago. She worked as a key punch operator. She volunteered at the Carson Valley Community Food Closet and she was a past secretary for the AARP in Gardnerville.


She was preceded in death by her sister Jeanine. She is survived by her husband of Gardnerville; her son Scott Casebier of Round Mountain; grandchildren Stephen of Gardnerville and Robin of Las Vegas as well as five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Lorraine, Mava, Eleanor, Bonnie, Shirley and her brother George W. Scott.


Arrangements are in the care of FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home in Gardnerville. Burial will take place at Eastside Memorial Park in Minden.
