Gary Gordon Mistak


1947-2007


Gary Gordon Mistak. 59, a 27 year resident of Gardnerville, died at home April 1, 2007.


Mr. Mistak was born April 25, 1947, in Vallejo, Calif. to Chester and Bobby Jo Mistak. He graduated from Napa High School in 1965 and married Sharon Kraus, January 1968 in Napa. He worked for Pacific Gas & Electric in Napa from 1969 to 1978 before relocating with his family to Gardnerville where he was a cement truck driver for Bing Materials for 15 years until 1995. He loved his sports, especially the San Francisco 49ers, was a huge NASCAR fan and he enjoyed camping, water skiing and coaching little league baseball. He loved all his kids very much, including his dog, Kaja.


He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his ex-wife Sharon Mistak of Gardnerville; children Chris Mistak of Long Beach, Calif., Danielle Ponce de Leon of Rocklin, Calif., Cassandra Dybrig of Las Vegas, Gary Mistak and Scott Mistak of Gardnerville. He is also survived by his sister Jerry Bing of Reno, five grandchildren as well as niece Tamey Taylor, nephew Dana Bing and many more nieces and nephews.


Arrangements are in the care of FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home. Cremation will take place at FitzHenry's Crematory in Carson City.




Larry Dyson Wright


1941-2007


A funeral service was held Saturday at Walton's Douglas County Mortuary in Minden for Larry Dyson Wright, 65, who died April 4, 2007, in Minden.


Mr. Wright was born Oct. 5, 1941, in Sylacauga, Ala., to Basil and Q.T. Wright. He received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering at Lamar Tech and was a self employed computer programmer. He married his wife, Lynn Wright, Oct. 13, 1967, in New Orleans, La. He was a resident of Freemont, Calif., before moving to Minden seven years ago.


He was preceded in death by his father, Nov. 1, 2001, in Longview, Texas, and his brother Terry Wright, June 6, 1965, also in Longview.


He is survived by his wife; his son Matthew and his wife Dena Wright of Minden, daughter Leah and her husband Alex Gregory of Pleasanton, Calif.; grandchildren Tyler and Nathan Wright of Minden and a new grandchild on the way. He is also survived by his mother, Q.T. Wright, sister Coty Wright, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.


Arrangements are in the care of Walton's Douglas County Mortuary. Cremation took place at Walton's Sierra Crematory in Carson City.
