Genoans are scheduled to start boxing up candy today in preparation for this weekend's 86th annual Candy Dance. For information about volunteering, buying tickets to the dance Saturday night or just questions, call the town at 782-TOWN. Remember, Genoa will be closed to through traffic this weekend.
The Record-Courier is the best weekly newspaper in Nevada. The R-C brought home the award for general excellence for the first time in this century. Among the top honors received by The R-C at the Nevada Press Association Better Newspapers Awards was the Carson Valley Almanac and R-C writer Sharlene Irete.
Nice. That pretty much sums up an entire week with highs in the low 80s and lows in the upper 30s. The weather will be mostly clear, mostly warm and mostly not freezing. Although it's supposed to be windy on Tuesday.
Today will be nice with high temperature hitting 83 degrees and tonight's low at 39 degrees.
