Holiday Craft Fair at the food closet

The food closet is getting ready for its annual Holiday Craft Fair on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Closet Crafters have been busy all year creating their crafts and handiwork for the event. The fair will be on display at 1255 Waterloo Lane in Gardnerville, just down the street from Lampe Park.

Featured items will be a variety of fabric tote bags, custom gift bags, Christmas ornaments, and knit scarves and hats. A new addition will be the "re-gifted tag table." The recycled new gifts are useful items previously received that you can give or keep for yourself. A selection of cookies and brownies will be sold for snacks.

Get a jump on your holiday shopping and give a hand-made gift to someone special this year. The Closet Crafters are a small group of volunteers who have found a way to contribute through their creative talents. All proceeds are donated to the food closet. For more information or to make a donation, contact Eileen Boettiger, director at 782-3711.
