Coleville hosted the top-ranked Whittell Warriors Wednesday, losing in four games.
The Wolves surprised everyone, winning the first game 25-21. They fought hard but lost the second game 20-25.
Whittell picked it up, taking the third 25-11, but Coleville rallied in the fourth before falling 20-25.
Kayla Johnson had nine kills and two aces.
Kymberlee Curti had eight kills and three digs, Amara Rowley had 21 assists and two aces.
Skyler Isbell had four kills and Kim Torley had two kills.
Collectively, the Wolves were able to put up six blocks, put down 25 kills and pull up nine digs.
The loss dropped Coleville to 12-4 overall. The Wolves took on Sierra Lutheran Thursday and will host Eureka Saturday.
