A big ol' fog bank has planted itself in the middle of Carson Valley. Motorists should be careful traveling down Highway 395 since visibility is limited, especially near the Carson River.

Two election events occur today. Stateline resident and Nevada State Treasurer Brian Krolicki will be speaking at the Sierra Nevada Republican Women's luncheon at Two Guys From Italy at noon on Wednesday. Krolicki is running for lieutenant governor in the November election.

Tonight, the League of Women Voters will be hosting a candidates night 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the CVIC Hall in Minden for the two county commission races and the race for Assembly District 39.

The sun'll come out ... today. And it appears it will stay out for the foreseeable future.

The National Weather Service is predicting mostly sunny skies through Saturday with some cloud build-up on Sunday, but little chance of precipitation until next Monday.

Kirkwood Ski Resort reported receiving 2-4 inches of snow in Tuesday's storm. Gardnerville received a half-inch of rain in the first hours of the storm.

The high temperature today should hit the high 60s and then into the 70s on Thursday. The low in Genoa this morning is 33 at 7 a.m.
