Deadline for Coyote Chase registration is Friday

The Smith Valley's Annual Coyote Chase Run/Walk is scheduled for June 17.

Traverse a 10K, 5k or 2-mile course set out by Beta Sigma Phi with views of Smith Valley. The run/walk begins at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Smith Valley schools, 20 Day Lane in Smith Valley. Pre-registration closes Friday. Cost is $25 for adults and $19 for 18 and younger. The first 200 to register receive a free T-shirt. Register the day of the race for $30 and $20, adults and youth respectively.

Breakfast will be served by the Smith Valley FFA to all runners and everyone else may purchase for $6. There will be a raffle.

Participation supports scholarships for high school students, local efforts such as assisting those with cancer and the City of Refuge as well as some national efforts such as Katrina relief.
