BASKETBALL


Andrea Honer, sr., F, Point Loma University: Lost in the conference championship game to The Master's 61-49 but will compete in the NAIA national tournament against Lubbock Christian this week.


Erin Brinkmeyer, fr., G, Redlands: Regular season over.


Pat Carlson, fr., G/F, Butte College: Regular season over.


Nick Lonnegren, fr., G, Butte College: Regular season over.




BASEBALL


Shawn Estes, P, San Diego Padres: Is 1-0 in two starts during spring training with seven strikeouts, three walks and five hits allowed.


Chris Honer, Rfr., P, Point Loma: Honer improved to 3-0 on the year with six shutout innings of work against Dakota Wesleyan. He scattered four hits and struck out four while walking one in the 2-0 win.


Tommy Hoyle, jr., P, Mesa State: Did not play last week.


Cal Lewis, jr., 3B, South Dakota State: Had two hits in a 9-7 win over Southern Illinois and doubled in a 5-1 loss to Southeast Missouri.


Bryan Miller, soph., OF, Mesa College: Miller is currently second in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference with 41 hits. He's scored 24 runs, hit four triples and driven in 30 runs. He leads the conference with 11 doubles and hit a grand slam home run last week.


Chad Walling, fr., OF/INF/P, Western Nevada: Weekend games were snowed out.


Jimmy Pierce, fr., INF, Western Nevada: Weekend games were snowed out.




SOFTBALL


Kristy Olsen, soph., 3B/OF, Iowa State: Went 2-for-4 with an RBI in a 7-2 win over Canisius, went 1-for-3 with an RBI in an 8-3 loss to Florida. She also went hitless in another loss to Florida and a loss to Stetson.


Brittany Puzey, fr., OF, Nevada: Drove in a run in a 10-2 loss to the Chinese national team, went 2-for-3 in a 17-2 loss to China and went 1-for-2 in a 4-0 win over China. Went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a double in a win over North Dakota State and went 1-for-4 with two RBIs in an 8-5 win over Santa Clara.


Kaycee Wilcks, soph., OF, Nevada: Scored a run in a 4-0 win over China and drove in a run in an 8-5 win over Santa Clara.


Valerie Smith, fr., C, Columbia: Was named to the Georgia Tech Buzz Classic all-tournament team for her performance two weeks ago. Went 1-for-4 with an RBI in a 5-1 win over UMKC, had a sacrifice hit in a 3-1 win over Toledo, went 2-for-3 with two RBIs against St. Bonaventure, went 1-for-3 in a win over Iona and had a sacrifice hit against Eastern Illinois.


Stevie Smith, soph., P/3B, Feather River: Stats not available.


Kayla Dunn, fr., P/SS, Feather River: Stats not available.




TRACK & FIELD


Daniel Sipko, soph., Eastern Oregon: Did not compete last week.


Kevin Carlson, fr., Southwestern Oregon: Competed in the Mt. Hood open over the weekend. Results not available.




RODEO


Austin Beemer, Cochise College: Won the bull riding competition at Central Arizona College in Florence, Ariz., over the weekend. He is third in the Grand Canyon region and 18th in the nation.


Keston Denny, fr., Cochise College: Won the steer wrestling and placed fourth in bull riding at Florence..
