Amanda Essary, soph., Oklahoma State: Lost to Austin 9-2 and to TCU 9-8.

Andy Weiss-Berg, soph., F, Nevada: Stats not available.

Kyle Martinez, fr., F, Nevada: Stats not available.

BASEBALL

Shawn Estes, P, San Diego Padres: Estes went on the 15-day disabled list with an elbow injury after taking a 3-1 loss to San Francisco last week.

Chris Honer, Rfr., P, Point Loma: Honer scattered two hits and three walks in three innings in a start against Fresno Pacific. He took a no-decision in the 7-6 loss.

Tommy Hoyle, jr., P, Mesa State: Pitched the ninth inning in a 15-2 win over the Colorado School of Mines. He struck out one and walked one while allowing no hits or runs.

Cal Lewis, jr., 3B, South Dakota State: Lewis raised his average to .245 last week. He has four home runs, five triples, three doubles and 16 RBIs on the season. South Dakota State is 12-16 on the year.

Bryan Miller, soph., OF, Mesa College: Stats not available for last week. He is second in the conference in doubles (13) and RBIs (40).

Chad Walling, fr., OF/INF/P, Western Nevada: Walling went 1-for-1 with an RBI in a 14-4 win over Dixie State.

Jimmy Pierce, fr., INF, Western Nevada: Did not play last week.

Shane Cauley, jr., OF, Chico State: Cauley is batting .333 with six runs and four RBIs in the leadoff spot for the Wildcats this season. He also sports a .423 on-base percentage.

He drove in the trying run with a liner up the middle in a 4-3 win against Monterrey Bay last week. Chico State is currently in first place in the California Collegiate Athletic Association with a 13-8 record.

SOFTBALL

Kristy Olsen, soph., 3B/OF, Iowa State: Went hitless in a 4-3 loss to Texas Tech.

Brittany Puzey, fr., OF, Nevada: Went hitless in a 3-0 win over Utah State, went 2-for-3 with an RBI in a 2-0 win over the Aggies and went 1-for-3 in a 5-2 win over Utah State.

Kaycee Wilcks, soph., OF, Nevada: Scored a run in a 2-0 win over Utah State.

Valerie Smith, fr., C, Columbia: Went 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI in a 9-1 win over St. Francis. Had an RBI in a 4-1 win over St. Francis, scored a run in a 3-1 win over Dartmouth, had an RBI in a 5-2 loss to Dartmouth and went 1-for-2 in an 8-0 loss to Manhattan.

Stevie Smith, soph., P/3B, Feather River: Stats not available.

Kayla Dunn, fr., P/SS, Feather River: Allowed no hits, no runs and struck out three in an 8-0 win over Shasta. She also hit her fourth home run of the year in a 5-4 win over Shasta later in the day.
