Revival services offered at two locations

Valley Springs Baptist Church is hosting revival services at two locations March 12-15: 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. March 12 at 1617 Water St. in Minden across the street from the Douglas County Sheriff's Office and 6:30 p.m. March 13-15 services will be at Carson Valley United Methodist Church located at 1375 Centerville Lane in Gardnerville.

Rev. Chad Meeks from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, will be the guest speaker. Meeks is a graduate of Central Baptist College and is working on a graduate degree at Southwestern Baptist Seminary.

Each spring, Southwestern Seminary sends out student preachers to churches across the United States through Spring Evangelism Practicum. This year, the students are leading revivals in approximately 115 churches in 25 states.

Southwestern Seminary, one of six graduate-level seminaries affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, is the world's largest theological school. Each year, approximately 3,000 men and women prepare for Christian ministry in Southwestern's school of theology, educational ministry, evangelism/mission and church music.
