Valley treated to Mumbo Gumbo

Bring a picnic dinner and enjoy an evening of music by Mumbo Gumbo, June 30 at Minden Park on Esmeralda Avenue.

The roots of Mumbo Gumbo have been described as "a spicy blend of Gulf Coast musical influences - Zydeco, second line, R & B, Tex-Mex, boogie-woogie and Latin/African - a musical melting pot of styles which creates a festive sound."

Food and refreshments will be available, sold by the 20/30 Club. All food and beverage proceeds go back into community youth programs. For more information, call the recreation division at 782-9828.
